Over the course of 2012, the ATL medical assisting club, Pulsations, was very busy in the community. The club sponsored and participated in a variety of events, from community health fairs and blood drives to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Other projects included a coat and blanket drive for the homeless, a holiday food drive, and a pinning ceremony for graduates.
During “Medical Assistant Recognition Week,” future medical assistants and faculty were honored for their efforts as well in and out of the classroom.
“We are constantly striving to make a difference in the community while we promote excellence and the highest quality of education. We proudly represent ATL in all of our endeavors. We look forward to a greater community involvement and more opportunities that provide hands on experiences for the Medical Assisting students in 2013,” said Dr. Lester Mae Jackson, faculty advisor.
Congratulations to everyone who participated.
